Introduction The network media player market is a booming industry these days. UPnP netowork media players coupled with a NAS (Network Access Server) provide the best solution for a media center without the need for a PC. Today we take a look at a network multi media player by AirLive called the MU-7000AVi. While this is not a UPnP network media player, it allows you to connect a hard drive directly onto the device and play movies, songs or pictures on your TV. This player is offered in two flavors, one that has an IDE interface only and another which supports both IDE and SATA interfaces. The device we’re reviewing today is the IDE version, however if you do decide to purchase this item, we recommend getting the SATA version due to the speed benefits. Opening up the box, the package consists of the following: MU-7000AVi Media Player x 1 Cables: Quick Guide x 1
