The
Tests Cont'd

SYSMark utilizes
programs such as Adobe Photoshop 5.5, Adobe Premier 5.1, Microsoft
Windows Media Encoder 4.0, Corel CorelDraw 9.0, Microsoft Excel
2000, Netscape Communicator 4.61, Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, and
Microsoft Word 2000 and a few more other programs. As you can see
from the programs itself this really stresses every ounce of power
from your system. As you can see from the results the ASUS CUSL2
board is quite ahead of both other boards.

The performance
of this test goes on to show how good a board is in business applications.
As you can see even though it's marginal the ASUS CUSL2 is still
ahead of the others.
Quake III
Arena
We ran quake
III Arena in normal settings. Keep in mind though we ran these tests
with sound on, which reduces the fps figure by quite a margin. We
found it impractical to do benchmarks without sound since, end of
the day what really matters is how the board will perform in the
real world. It's unlikely that anyone would play Quake III or any
other game to that matter without any sound.
As you can see
the CUSL2 is well ahead of both other boards in the criteria. It
shows us what a high performance and stable board this really is.

Here too the
CUSL2 is in the lead, however an overclocked BX board might be able
to beat this figure, but then it isn't a fair comparison now is
it. If the CUSL2 is overclocked as well then it's sure to beat the
BX boards by far.
