Going back to the connectors section of the URANUS you’ll see there’s a small fan to keep the drive cool when operating for long periods of time. While this is a good thing, I wish it was a bit quieter than it is at present. Nevertheless it’s a good feature to have than not. Furthermore the power switch has a good solid construction to it and so do the rest of the connectors and buttons.

The URANUS also comes with a small stand if you wish to keep it upright on your table.

There’s also a LED indicator at the front of the URANUS which turns from Blue to purple when data is being accessed. This gives the URANUS quite a nice look mostly at night.

Installation

Installing a drive into the URANUS is pretty straight forward. Simply open up the casing, slide the SATA drive into the URANUS making sure it secures properly into the power and data connector in the back.

You need to sure the hard drive into the bottom plate to make sure it does not move around when moving the URANUS around.
