 Introduction

Back up back up back up……..this is one of the key factors most of you who care about your data should live by. What ever you do, if it's important always back up everything you've got. Fact is, no matter how reliable and safe you may think your hard drive is, you never know when the unthinkable could happen. Like the saying goes, "If there's anyhing that could go wrong …it will!!!"

Most of you people out there are quite used to backing up your critical data on those age old 250MB Iomega zip drives. However, think about it seriously…considering the average size of a Hard drive today ranges from 30GB - 80GB, how many of those cartridges would you need for your system. Don't even bother counting.

Of course today there are many choices for back up devices with very large capacities, and today we plan on introducing you to Onstream Data's newest tape drive release, the ADR2 60GB drive.

Last year we reviewed Onstream's ECHO 30 USB USB Drive, which you can read here. We were very impressed with this drive since it offered great value for money and the easy to use interface for backing up your data. Onstream is a relatively new company to the storage arena, being there for no more than 3 - 4 years. However since their arrival in the market they have yet to produce a product which has failed to catch the hearts of the end user. It's time to see what this drive really has in store for us.
